Choir program for kids & students, ages 4 - grade 8
Praise Kids is our fall musical program that gives children and middle school students the opportunity to experience the Performing Arts. All fall, kids learn and rehearse the Christmas musical, Christmas Eve - The Girl Who Saved Christmas. The performance dates are December 6 at 6 pm, and December 7 at 9 & 10:45 am.
If you and your child are ready to commit to our fall performing arts program and participate in our Christmas community outreach production, here’s what you need to know: Registration is the first requirement to participate in the December performances.
Children ages 4 (as of September 30) through grade 8 rehearse Tuesday evenings starting August 19:
- Ages 4 – Kindergarten rehearse from 4:30 – 5:15 pm in Room 103
- Grades 1 – 8 rehearse from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the main Auditorium
These rehearsal times will change to 5:30 – 6:15 pm for Ages 4 – Kindergarten and 5:30 – 7:30 pm for Grades 1 – 8 on Tuesday, November 11 for our ALL CAST & Choir Rehearsals. Tech and Dress Rehearsals are Tuesday through Thursday, December 3 – 5, during those same blocks of time.
There are no rehearsals on the following Tuesdays for the reasons noted:
- Tues, September 2 – Auditions for grades 2-8
- Tues, October 28 – Fall Break
- Tues, November 25 – Thanksgiving Week
Registrations
Online registration is open now and in-person registrations begin Sunday, August 10. A small fee is required to cover the cost of a music folder, thumb drive, music link or CD of music/dialogue, t-shirt, award, calendar and parent information. Fees for participation are:
- Grades 1 – 8: $45 for 1st child; $40 for each additional child
- Ages 4 – Kindergarten: $35 (music folder not included)
- Scholarships available upon completion of request form: $30 per child
