Real Talk

A Small Group for Students

Real Talk is a monthly small group designed for middle and high school students to explore what the Bible says about mental health and how faith intersects with real-life challenges. It’s a safe, judgment-free space where students can openly share their struggles—whether it’s anxiety, relationships, addiction, or anything else on their hearts.

Boys and girls break off into separate groups for honest conversation, support, and encouragement in a loving and faith-centered environment.

We meet from 5:00 – 6:30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month in the Green Room, and dinner is provided. Real Talk is a place for students to find truth, healing, and hope—together. When we are done, we all walk over to ENCOUNTER Youth together.

REAL TALK RULES – these rules are mandatory to continue to make Real Talk a safe and honest space.

1. What is heard at Real Talk stays at Real Talk.

2. Who attends Real Talk is not talked about outside of the group.

3. No judgmental comments are allowed to be made.

4. No trying to give advice or fix anyone’s problems.

5. All Leaders are mandated reporters, so if something is of concern for your safety, we are required to share with the parents.

For any questions email Lindsey, LLopez@encounterlife.org

*For students who attend Real Talk and may benefit from professional counseling, we’ve partnered with trusted Christian therapists and are able to provide financial support for up to five sessions.

**the Green Room is in the auditorium behind the stage. Walk in and go through either door on the left or right of the stage.
