Get ready to be CHARGED! at ENCOUNTER’s first Men’s Conference, coming March 2, 2024.
Our Lord seeks to have a personal and long-lasting relationship with us. More than just a simple prayer, our Father wants a dialogue. Much like a best friend, or even a parent, He wants to be connected. He wants us to be in His presence. To seek Him first, becoming spiritually CHARGED.
CHARGED Men’s Conference is a fun, engaging event for men of all ages so invite your friends to come and hang out with you (lots of fun, food, and coffee). Plus, you’ll get to hear some amazing messages from guest speakers. Jeff Iorg, president of Gateway Seminary, will be joining us to speak on iron sharpening iron.

Dr. Jeff Iorg is the president of Gateway Seminary. Prior to his service at the Seminary, Dr. Iorg was the Executive Director of the Northwest Baptist Convention for almost ten years. He was also the founding pastor of Greater Gresham Baptist Church (now Pathway Church) in Gresham, Oregon and has served as a pastor in Missouri and a staff pastor in Texas.
Dr. Iorg teaches leadership, preaching, and church ministry courses at Gateway Seminary. He speaks frequently on these subjects in conferences and other venues, including college campuses and leadership seminars. His publications include nine books: The Painful Side of Leadership, The Character of Leadership, Is God Calling Me?, The Case for Antioch, Seasons of a Leader’s Life, Unscripted, Ministry in the New Marriage Culture, Leading Major Change in Your Ministry, and his latest, Shadow Christians. Iorg has also written dozens of articles and curriculum materials. He maintains a leadership blog and podcast at JeffIorg.com.
Iorg is a graduate of Hardin Simmons University (B.A.), Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.). He is married, has three adult children, and five grandchildren.
