In Community, Groups

Groups that serve together, stay together.

The Young Professional Women’s small group launched in the Fall of 2016 and has been going strong ever since.  The group’s vision is “to create a space to share what’s on our hearts, how God has been working in our lives, and grow in areas together where we need encouragement.” The group has been very intentional in balancing their schedule with study and social gatherings.

At ENCOUNTER, we care deeply about engaging the world by serving locally and we encourage our group leaders to facilitate opportunities to serve during their time together as a group.  The Young Professional Women’s group has connected with local organizations on several occasions.  They have adopted a family for Christmas through Project Understanding, participated in building homes through Habitat for Humanity and participated in Serve Day and Christmas Shoppe through ACTION.  ACTION has also connected them with local projects in the community like helping an elderly neighbor move and performing repairs to a mobile home. Serving together provides additional time to connect and grow while serving the community.

If your group would like to connect with opportunities to serve, go here or contact Lindsey Lopez.
