In children, Community, Serving, Volunteers

The room was buzzing with excitement as parents, friends, and neighbors packed the auditorium last Thursday evening for the VBS performance. During the week, almost 300 children and teens worked hard in preparation for this evening. They painted the sets, worked on the costumes and props, learned lines, songs and choreography. Teens from the music camp served as the technical team for the performance, learning sound, lighting, and video cues and taking charge of all set changes. All this was accomplished while also playing games, making crafts, and learning about the love of Jesus.

The performance was a smashing success! The guests oohed and awed and responded with thunderous applause and cheers, amazed at the caliber of performance after just 4 days of preparation. We know that there were dozens of people behind the scenes to make everything happen, and none of it would have been possible without YOU.

Your generous gift of time was a catalyst to much more than a theatrical production. You were part of sharing the gospel with hundreds of children and their families, ultimately leading to 90 children making first time decisions to follow Christ. Thank you for taking time out of your summer to pour into those young hearts. We can’t wait until next year!
