In Community, Groups, Rooted, Uncategorized

1. What were you hoping to discover through Rooted?
I was hoping to become rooted in my faith, to become more connected to God and my church family. To learn to be still and realize when and how God was speaking to me.

2. What was the most impactful part of Rooted?
For me, it was impactful to see how God changed my mind-set to not be so focused on myself. I also realized how important it is to be in a small group that you can bond with, to be in community.

3. What did God show you through the journey of Rooted?
He showed me the importance of my prayer life, staying in the Word and my church family. He showed me how to be still and know when He is trying to get my attention. That He is the Almighty God so worthy of our praise. He showed me the power of being in a small group and fellowshipping with others. He also showed me that praying for others and being prayed for by others is a huge blessing.

4. What would you say to someone who is on the fence of joining Rooted?
I truly think that Rooted is something everybody should experience. I had reservations about committing to Rooted, but was influenced by others during our church ministry fair. I had my hopes set on doing another study, but it was not offered at the time. I chose to do Rooted as my second choice and was promised that I wouldn’t regret it. So now I am promising you that if you choose to Rooted you will not regret it. It will change your life.

We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
