1. What’s your ideal day off look like?

An ideal day off always starts with an amazing breakfast at a hole in the wall diner, then taking a long drive somewhere beautiful to explore.

2. What is one book that has impacted you personally this past year?

Rising Strong by Brene Brown. I love Brene Brown’s insights on those hard moments of failure and falling flat on your face. She offers some great practical ways of looking at a “failed” situation and how to recover and move on. This was so good for me to read this last summer as I was processing through some “failed” situations in my own life.

3. How would you describe your personality?

I’m an introvert who is often mistaken for an extrovert. Empathy is my greatest strength. I’m a 9 on the Enneagram. I am a quiet person, but love to be with people.

4. What is one Scripture passage that feels very personal to you?

John 14:27 is my all time favorite verse: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” This peace that comes from Christ alone is so powerful and unexplainable. I have turned to this verse again and again in my life, reminding myself that His peace is so very different than what the world offers as peace (security, wealth, position).

5. What is your favorite dessert?

I have to choose one?! Cheesecake of any kind.

6. Do you have a secret skill or talent?

If I do, it’s a secret to me too.

7. What’s one thing in particular you’re looking forward to in the next few months at ENCOUNTER?

I’m excited to experience Christmas at ENCOUNTER.
