ENGAGE THE WORLD
We want to make Jesus known to every culture and every people! Our priorities are —
- MAKE disciples of all nations, prioritizing unreached people groups (those who have no access to the gospel)
- SEND skilled people to plant reproducing churches, partner with nationals, equip leaders, translate Scripture, and proclaim the gospel
- CARE for our Global Partners and support Global Member Care efforts
- MOBILIZE the church to expand our understanding God’s heart for the world
- ADVOCATE for the poor and oppressed by partnering with gospel-driven compassion ministries
We support 20 full time global partners who are involved in a wide spectrum of ministries including evangelism, church planting, leadership training, medical care, student outreach, camping ministry, community development, business as mission, missions mobilization, aviation transportation, and missionary care.
REACHING THE UNREACHED
There are still large segments of the world’s population who have never heard the name of Jesus. Unreached people lack enough followers of Christ and resources to evangelize their own people. Most of these people live in hard-to-reach areas of the world that are hostile to Christians. We focus prayer and resources to support these unreached people groups:
POVERTY | JUSTICE | COMPASSION
“Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.” – Isaiah 1:17
MIGRANT WORKERS IN VENTURA COUNTY
In 2014, Embrace HIM began an outreach to migrant farm workers in Ventura County. This team brings the church to farm workers and their children, many of whom have never heard the Gospel. They conduct church services at multiple locations 4 days a week and launched a Seminary to train up those previously homeless and others that may now be called to full time ministry. ENCOUNTER’s partnership helps provide food and children’s programs to 1000 adults each week.
Each year, we send a team to Honduras each year to live among the poor and learn about cycle of poverty. While there, we partner with a number of groups including ASJ (Association for a More Just Society). ASJ supports efforts in Honduras to promote the interests of the most poor in land and labor rights, defend the rights of the most vulnerable in judicial processes, fight government corruption, and influence country-wide policy and laws on issues affecting the poor of Honduras.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Each Fall, our church joins together to make shoeboxes to bless children through the efforts of Operation Christmas Child.
Compassion exists as a Christian child-advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Child sponsorship links you with one child who will know your name, write to you, and treasure the thought that you care. Your tax-deductible contribution of $38 a month provides, food and clean water, medical care, education, and life skills training. Most important of all, your sponsored child will hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with God. To sponsor a child, visit Compassion.
GO TEAMS – SHORT TERM EXPERIENCES
Missions trips are an exciting way to learn more about how God is working around the world. Each year we send teams to Honduras to learn about poverty and justice, Costa Rica to assist with work projects at La Montaña Christian Camp, and Ireland to learn how to prayer walk, serve in the city, and learn how to share your faith.
All short term trips are on hold due to COVID-19.
