Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe
The Community Christmas Shoppe is a holiday tradition in Ventura County. This event serves under-resourced families by providing toys for Christmas. We partner with local social service agencies to find families otherwise unable to afford Christmas presents for their children and invite them to “shop” for toys at no personal cost. While Community Christmas Shoppe is a fun and festive event for the whole family, our true mission is to provide families with a community of support that will outlast the holiday season. This year the Shoppe is going to be held on Saturday, December 12 at Orchard Community Church. We will start collecting toys November 8.
With Covid of course everything is different this year, and this goes for the Shoppe as well. This year there will be no kids allowed at the Shoppe, which is unfortunate but of course healthy kids and families is first and foremost. This goes for volunteers as well, no one under the age of 18 will be able to volunteer.
We’re hoping that despite the circumstances we can still bless hundreds of kids. Please consider donating a NEW toy, gift cards, or wrapping supplies. We also need plenty of volunteers this year.
How you can help:
1) Bring a new unwrapped toy, gift card, or wrapping supplies starting November 8 to ENCOUNTER. Download toy suggestions
2) Volunteer to serve at the Christmas Shoppe which happens Saturday, December 12 at Orchard Community Church in Ventura. Sign up here
