MOPS and MOMSnext are gatherings for moms that meet twice a month during the school year. Audrey McCoy, mom to Lauren, shared the impact MOPS has had on her life.

“After the birth of my daughter, I began to suffer from postpartum depression and anxiety. My mental health became very dark, and I felt very afraid and alone. A good friend pushed me to sign up for MOPS. I am forever grateful for what I encountered. I found fellowship with other women who offered understanding and support. The nurturing environment of mothers helped me to find God again and feel invited to church. The speakers helped shape the way I parent and strengthen my marriage. I loved listening to the Christ centered messages that focused on finding my joy. MOPS continues to be the highlight of my week.

I cherish the friendships that I have made. I went from being isolated in my depression to growing in my faith with other wonderful women. I look forward to a warm breakfast, sitting with my mom friends and sharing and laughing about our experiences with kids, and the open and honest conversations we can have with each other. MOPS, for me, is acceptance, support, and loving each other the way Christ loves us.” – Audrey McCoy
