Poverty | Justice | Foster Care

Welcome to LOVE DOES

LOVE DOES is an initiative of Bible Fellowship Church designed to mobilize our community to respond to God’s call to care for the poor, defend the cause of the fatherless, and speak up for the oppressed both locally and globally.

“Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.” – Isaiah 1:17

We partner with global organizations like Compassion International and Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse.

LoveDoes sends a team to Honduras each year to live among the poor and learn about cycle of poverty. Contact Bill and Melissa Duker to participate in the next Honduras trip.

We support many organizations here in Ventura County who care for the marginalized. If you'd like to join a team that serves the poor in our community, contact Clare Rice.

We partner with AJS (Association for a More Just Society). AJS supports efforts in Honduras to promote the interests of the most poor in land and labor rights, defend the rights of the most vulnerable in judicial processes, fight government corruption, and influence country-wide policy and laws on issues affecting the poor of Honduras.

Because we believe that every child should be in a loving, caring and safe home, we partner with our local foster care system as well as support efforts of organizations globally who care for orphans. Contact Clare Rice to learn more.
