THE WAY OF JESUS: Unpretentious

THE WAY OF JESUS: Unpretentious

Childlike humility is necessary to be a part of the Kingdom of God.

Scripture References: Matthew 18:1-4

From Series: "THE WAY OF JESUS"

Following Jesus. What does that mean? And where is He leading us? Matthew was a guy most people didn’t like, but a guy most people could identify with. He was a crook, of sorts, but also had a band of surly friends he hung out with. They liked the fact that his crooked money trickled down into house parties where they were invited. Then one day Jesus rocked Matt’s world. In fact, he invited himself over to hang out with Matthew’s friends. That’s just how Jesus was. So begins Matthew’s journey as a follower of this Rabbi. At God’s own direction, Matthew penned one of the four Gospel accounts of Christ’s life. We have it preserved as the very first book in our New Testament Scriptures. We’re listening in on what Jesus taught. We’re gaining a fresh vision for the Kingdom He’s inviting us into. We’re learning what it looks like to walk in “The Way of Jesus.” Weekends at ENCOUNTER.
